Reduce your redness
Rosacea is a skin condition that affects 1 in 10 people
The exact cause of rosacea is unknown, but Laser and IPL can help reduce some of the symptoms.
Rosacea conditions are triggered by certain behaviours.
To get the best result it is useful to identify and avoid triggers that worsen rosacea.
Common triggers are cold and hot weather, air conditioning, spicy food, alcohol and exercise.
Commom Symptoms of Rosacea
- Facial redness
- Visible blood vessels
- Papules and pustules
- Thickened skin
- Sensitive skin – burning, itching, stinging and pain
- Dry, rough skin
- Raised red patches
These symptoms can be transitory at first but may become permanent.
Common rosacea presentation.
Reduction of visible vessels.
Note: The redness presenting immediately following treatment will completely disappear an hour or so after treatment.
How it works
The heamoglobin (blood) in the blemish absorbs the Laser or IPL light, heating the lesion until it is destroyed.
Patient results and treatment experiences may vary.
1. Treatment information
Generally there is a good reduction in redness after 2 sessions, but if the rosacea condition continues to flare up, multiple treatments may be necessary.
The treatment is generally considered tolerable, with a sensation likened to an elastic band snap.
Treatment can take between 15 -45 mins and can be performed monthly.
Redness may last for an hour, and some lesions may temporarily darken before disappearing.
