Rachel laser

Aesthetic Practitioner- Rachel

Im Rachel, the Aesthetics Practitioner at Oasis Wellbeing Clinic. My passion is helping you love the skin you’re in.

My personal skin problems began in my young adult life when I started to struggle with resistant acneic skin. I tried endless lotions and potions, prescription creams, antibiotics, and isotretinoin (you name it, I tried it!). My skin began to have such an impact on my quality of life; my anxiety and stress levels would increase with each breakout. Thankfully I have found a regime of treatments that offer me some relief from my problematic skin.

Throughout my acne journey, I grew interested in skin and the conditions that affect it, and the impact our skin has on our confidence. I have personal experiences with the far-reaching implications this has in our lives, preventing us from meeting new people, trying new experiences, and loving ourselves. And I wanted to be a part of helping others overcome these problems.

I started my journey into aesthetics with LASER and IPL training, then completed my Level 4 Laser and Light qualification in 2015. Following this, I have enjoyed additional training in micro-needling, plasma fibroblast, mesotherapy, chemical peels, skincare, and electrolysis.

Qualified Counsellor - Karen (PGDip, MBACP)

Hi, I’m Karen, and I’m here to help you cope when life seems too much, to help you find solutions to deal with those worrying problems you face, or to help you make the changes you need move into a better future.

I practice the Person-Centred approach to counselling which is particularly effective for helping with depression, anxiety and stress, no matter what its cause. This also means that our sessions will focus on what you need and want, rather than following a fixed agenda.

I have a post graduate (Level 7) diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Salford, and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), so you can be assured of working in a safe, relaxing and confidential environment.

Over the years, I have become particularly interested in the problems that seem to regularly pop-up in mid-life, including divorce, bereavement, employment worries, children leaving/returning home and many others. I have seen (and experienced myself) how these things can affect our sense of who we are in the world. My aim is to try to help make sense of these changes and understand the impact they may be having on you and your wellbeing.  Together we can work to discover what’s really important to you in your life, helping you to create a fulfilling future, and giving you the confidence to live it well.

Please get in touch for a free introductory chat to see if what I offer is helpful to you.

Laser Technician - Becky

I’m Becky, a Level 5 Laser Technician, and I’m here to make you feel better in your own skin.
My interest in lasers began when I embarked on my own laser hair removal journey. Growing up, I always had much darker, thicker hairs on my face and body compared to most other girls. I was deeply self-conscious of this and would do everything I could to hide it; bite my nails to cover my whiskers, style my hair to cover most of my face.. under no circumstance would I tie my hair up in a ponytail! I truly do understand the troubles our insecurities can cause us.
It wasn’t until I discovered laser that I could finally make peace with my unwanted hair, and I would love to help you make that peace too.

Emily sports therapist

Sports Therapist - Emily

Hi everyone! My name is Emily, I have recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a distinction in MSc Sports and Exercise Therapy, after previously attaining a first-class degree in BA(Hons) Physical Education.

Whilst completing my masters, I was fortunate enough to gain experience working with Leeds Rhinos, Yorkshire Carnegie, Bradford City FC, Catalan Dragons, Leeds University, and Brighouse Rangers ARLFC. This involved working within a multi-disciplinary team in elite, sub-elite, and amateur sport rehabilitation settings, as well as working in the University’s sports injury clinic providing diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation to a diverse range of clients.

I have been a keen and competitive sportswoman from a young age. Despite competing in netball, swimming, athletics, tennis, and gymnastics as a youngster, my real passion is dancing and playing hockey, which I have done since I was 3 and 11 respectively.

Throughout my sporting life, I have suffered from several injuries which stopped me from taking part in the things I loved most. After an operation on my knee, I started to become more interested in the injury and rehabilitation process involved to recover and also prevent further injuries from occurring. This led me to complete my degree in sports and exercise therapy to become knowledgeable in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries.

I am also a fully insured member of the Society of Sports Therapists (MSST)

Trainee Counsellor - Lee

My name is Lee Taylor and I am a trainee counsellor in my final year studying at Preston college. I am available for face to face, telephone or online therapy. Throughout our lives we may face challenges which are difficult to manage and cope with. Talking with someone who doesn’t judge, actively listens and everything is kept in confidence can help you feel better. Change can happen and is possible with the right support.
