A deep, pain free exfoliation
Benefits of Diamond Microdermabrasion treatments
Microdermabrasion is a pain-free mechanical exfoliation used to remove the top layers of the epidermis. The diamond tip gently and gradually breaks down the dead skin cells to be removed by the vacuum, removing dead skin cells that contribute to clogged pores.
- Improves skin texture and tone
- Removes surface skin lines & wrinkles
- Unclogs pores, minimising the appearance of whiteheads and blackheads
- Reduces pigmentation caused by sun damage (epidermal only)
- Improves the appearance of scar tissue, e.g. acne scarring, stretch marks
- Lymphatic drainage – removal of toxins
- Refreshes skin for a younger appearance
Diamond Microdermabrasion results following one treatment.
Patient results and treatment experiences may vary.
Thermotherapy - Microdermabrasion - Ultrasound - LED - Cryotherapy
Thermotherapy
The treatment begins with thermotherapy to heat the skin in preparation for microdermabrasion, allowing the contents of the pores to loosen and rise to the surface for easier extraction.
Diamond Microdermabrasion
Mechanical exfoliation with the diamond microdermabrasion will follow, gently exfoliating the top layers of the epidermis to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.
Ultrasound
A collagen gel will be applied to the skin and penetrated into the skin cells using ultrasound. Ultrasound increases the permeability of the skin cells, allowing the cells to absorb the active ingredients in order to receive the full benefit of the product. It also has a slimming and tightening effect.
LED light therapy
Green LED light will be used to decrease the redness following microdermabrasion.
Cryotherapy
The treatment will finish with cryotherapy to cool the skin and lock products used during the treatment into the skin.
1. Treatment information
Microdermabrasion takes around 60 minutes for the face & neck.
Full body/half body may take between 2 and 3 hours.
It can be performed once per week.
Although you will notice a result after one treatment, it’s recommended that you have a minimum of 6 treatments to get the most out of microdermabrasion.
2. Downtime
There is little to no downtime associated with microdermabrasion. The skin may appear slightly pink, feel dry and tight as though you have a mild sunburn, though this should subside within 24 hours. Moisturising creams can be used to hydrate and soothe the skin.
